Leaving the industrial coast of Edinburgh behind, we walked towards the Forth bridges over Drum Sands to cross the Firth of Forth into North Queensferry, joining up with the Fife Coastal Path.

Whale spotting and the sea stacks along the Arbroath Cliffs before night spent in Carlingheugh Bay plus... I think we were being followed!
Today was anything but uneventful. Getting trapped by a thunder and lightning storm on the open expanse of Aderlady Bay is not something we would like to repeat... but the views, they were outstanding!
Despite being the shortest day, today was your favourite! Ending at a spectacular beach wild camp on Broadsands overlooking the island of Fidra
Yesterday we drank from a public toilet, today we washed ourselves in a public toilet... and even had a camp fire on the beach, perfect! Oh... and we had to walk 2 miles back to camp!
A day of pure joy and pushing through the wall, but hey, not so bad really. We had ice cream and coffee and even got to drink from a public toilet...!
So were off... on our way around the coast of the UK. It almost feels underwhelming but you have to start somewhere!
